Network and Get Inspired Today!

The purpose and mission of PK Innovators, Inventors, Investors, and Entrepreneurs Club, Inc. is to educate innovators and entrepreneurs to develop successful businesses while giving back to new members,
entrepreneurs and to the betterment of the community. I & E monthly meetings provide education and
information, expert speakers, and opportunities to network with peers and resource providers.

MONTHLY MEETINGS

The 2010 meetings will be clustered together.  The fall cluster of meetings will be held the third Mondays in August, September and October. The August and October sessions will be held in Minden at the Minden Opera House and the September sessions will be held in Holdrege at the Super 8.  The doors open at 6:00 p.m. for casual networking, and the formal portion of each meeting starts with an educational component at 6:30 p.m. followed by an organized networking session. The networking component provides a platform for entrepreneurs and service providers to offer advice to or request assistance from the group. Having learned about all the participants' businesses or organizations, participants are encouraged to stay and exchange information, perhaps even make some business deals.

HISTORY OF PK I & E

The Innovators & Entrepreneurs Club came about from a belief that South Central Nebraska needed an environment that would foster the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. In January 2009, PK Partnership formed the PK I & E Club, an entrepreneurial environment with two goals of providing education and providing an organized networking system. The PK Partnership believes that there are talented individuals in South Central Nebraska and this networking system will jump-start new businesses and inspire and reinvigorate existing businesses.

The club hosts monthly educational and informational meetings where speakers provide information and club participants discuss issues, find resources and network with people. The meetings have proven to be an extremely efficient platform and very cost effective. People learn the proper steps to exploring their ideas, are supported and motivated by their peers, tap into a vast network of like-minded people and find needed resources as quickly as possible.

LONG TERM IMPACT

The realization of the Innovators & Entrepreneurs Club has provided moral support for entrepreneurs, while encouraging the thinkers and visionaries. The I&E Club positions them in an environment where they can be successful. We look for many new ventures to develop from the I&E Club, that in turn will add to the creation of jobs, increase the tax base, and stimulate community development. The camaraderie and willingness to help each other has been tremendous.

I knew that I would enjoy the presentation at the I&E Club meetings,

but I was blown away by the connections that were made at the event.

Entrepreneurs who stay and network find that they can generate partnerships,

learn from the experiences of their peers, and even share their observations

with others. I am certain several businesses will get their start and others

will grow because of the club's influence.

- Monica Boyken, Exe. Director for Phelps County Development Corporation

This is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to build community with

people in similar circumstances. As a solo practitioner, I love the chance

to bounce my ideas off of other businesspeople. The meetings offer a

great educational opportunity, and by working together we can each strengthen

our own businesses and our area's economy.- Sara Stevens-Stehl
